Crafting International Women’s Day 2023 at Amazon
Every year, Amazon puts on an event to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women and allies. I was selected to be part of the core team and lead all marketing initiatives alongside a workforce of 75 volunteers.
The aim of the festival in 2023 was to inspire, demonstrate, and provide tools for women and allies to embrace equity, forging a path to equality where everyone, everywhere can play a part. To achieve we brought to life a schedule of +40 events centered around Women In STEM, Mental health, Motherhood, Menopause, Body Image and Disability.
My role consisted in influencing the strategic vision of the events, conceptualising and bringing to life all the content that drove the demand-gen strategy and servicing all relevant teams (PR, Social Media, Website, Events) with content production to drive engagement, positive sentiment and overall event attendance.
I led a sub-team of designers, copywriters, editors and marketeers and in two months, we achieved to bring to life 40 internal and external events, spread across three days, packed with activities and content for customers, employees, Amazon sellers and partners. The landing page saw +40% YoY increase of traffic and achieved +21% YoY social media reach, as well as achieving better results at lower costs than 2022.
